The California sea slug or California sea hare (Aplysia californica) or as it is more commonly called the sea hare, is the largest single cell creature living in the world. Although it's a simple nervous system doesn't allow a complex social behaviour, the sea hare is still capable of a variety of non-associative and associative learning tasks. It has become a valuable laboratory animal, especially in neurobiology studies and since 2000 associated with the work of a Nobel Laureate.
